March 2008: Amsterdam Airlines (AMZ) signed a major software contract with Lufthansa (DLH) Systems. This contract is the basis for delivery of airline operations solutions software required to fly ‘paperless’. (AMZ) will deploy the electronic flight bag (EFB) (Lido eFlightbag), containing an electronic route manual and performance software by Lufthansa (DLH) Systems.
A320-231 (430, PH-AAX), ex-Mexicana (CMA), ex-(XA-TXT), (ILF) leased.
Plans to add 2 A320s by year-end and up to 10 airplanes by 2011. Intends to use the airplanes on Aircraft Crew Maintenance & Insurance (ACMI) wet-lease charters and Business (C) class-only flights to North Africa.
January 2008: 2 orders (February 2009) A320-200, (ILF) 5 years leased.
August 2010: Amsterdam Airlines (AMZ) has launched scheduled services to Morocco and Turkey in cooperation with tour operator, ML Tours:
Amsterdam - Ankara: weekly, A320-200 service;
Amsterdam - Kayseri: 2x weekly, A320-200 service;
Amsterdam - Nador: 2x weekly, A320-200 service.
Amsterdam-Tangiers: weekly A320-200 service.
June 2011: Amsterdam Airlines (AMZ) took delivery of a third A320 leased from AerCap (DEA).
