JANUARY 2000: FALCON AIR EXPRESS (FAX) 727-200 IS REPLACED WITH AN ALLEGRO (AEG) WET-LEASED 727-225 (1692-22440, /80 40 24, XA-TCX).

APRIL 2000: AEROMAR AIRLINES (AOO) IS FINED $1.5 MILLION BY THE (FAA) FOR "KNOWINGLY UNDERSTATING THE WEIGHT" OF PALLETS LOADED ON A FINE AIR (FNE) DC-8, WHICH CRASHED NEAR MIAMI, IN 1997-08. (AOO) ALSO PLEADED GUILTY TO ATTEMPTING TO CONCEAL EVIDENCE OF THIS ACCIDENT.

JANUARY 2002: 747-238B (20009) RETURNED TO PEGASUS (PSS).

July 2002: 1 767-383ER, ex-Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID) wet-leased for operations to Miami (MIA)/New York (JFK). 757-27B (24838, TF-FIW) & 757-256 (26242, TF-FIR), Icelandair (ICE) wet-leased.

August 2002: 1 order (2002-11) 767-204ER (24013), Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID) wet-leased.

October 2002: Santiago (Dominican Republic) to New York (JFK), operations by Icelandair (ICE) and (AID).

December 2002: In 2003-01, to Havana, Aruba, Cancun, Panama City, Madrid, and Paris.

1 737-201 (22754), ex-US Airways (USA), Jetran leased. To be wet-leased to Aeromar Lineas de Dominicana for service in Caribbean and Central America.

February 2003: 2002 = -$2.5 million (net loss).

March 2003: Aeromar Airlines (AOO) discontinues its wet-lease of an Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID) 767, which was used on the New York (JFK) - Santo Domingo route.

August 2003: Poza Rica - Reynosa.

October 2003: After some financial difficulties, Aeromar Airlines (AOO) suspended some services and returned a 727-200 to Falcon Air Express (FAX) and a 757-200 to Icelandair (ICE). Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID) took a 49% equity stake in (AOO) in exchange for lease payments due, and will wet-lease another 767 immediately and a 747 in 2003-12.

December 2003: Ceases operations.

May 2004: Plans to relaunch service later in 2004 to the Caribbean (Aruba) and Caracas, Venezuela (both, 737, 2/week).

July 2004: Again suspended operations.
