The Federal Republic of Nigeria was established in 1960, it covers an area of 923,768 sq km, its population is 125 million, its capital city is Abuja, and its official language is English.
February 2017: Newly acquired 737-300 touched down at Murtala Muhammad Airport, Lagos. Plans to increase fleet to 22 airplanes including Boeing 737-300, 777F, Embraer ERJ-145, and 1 Dornier. The 737-300 is the 13th airplane acquired in <3 years.
Operates 737-300 West African regional routes to Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Accra, Ghana; Dakar, Senegal; Douala, Cameroon; and Niamey, Niger.
International flights planned on 777 to Atlanta, USA; Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE); Guangzhou, China; Mumbai, India and Johannesburg, South Africa.
Air Peace (APX) has problems with sourcing foreign exchange, and aviation fuel costs are straining operations of airlines in the country (Nigeria). Has commended Nigerian Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika for easing operational challenges of airlines in the country. Needs more public support to survive.
September 2017: Chinese investors have endorsed Air Peace (APX) flight operations, and seek partnership to ease business trips on Enugu, Nigeria to Shanghai, China to Enugu 777 operations. Has secured government OK for flights to Atlanta, Dubai, Johannesburg, Mumbai among other international routes. Gains support from President of Overseas Investment Union, China (OIUC), Ms Pansy Liu.
