Based in Brussels, Cathy covers European regulatory affairs, commercial air transport and (MRO). In the past, she was Senior Analyst for (CAPA) – Centre for Aviation. Prior, Cathy was Air Transport World (ATW)'s European Editor/Bureau Chief, leading (ATW)'s Europe, Middle East and African coverage for the magazine and the daily online news. She also contributed to (ATW)’s numerous newsletters and was responsible for (ATW)’s annual World Airport Report.

She won the 2010/11 European Regions Airline Association (ERAA) Hank McGonagle Journalism Award for a two-part article on the inclusion of aviation in the European (ETS) and was shortlisted several times for the Royal Aeronautical Society Aerospace Journalist of the Year in the Air Transport and Best Strategy/ Finance category. In 2005, she was awarded the (ATW) Publisher’s Award. Cathy served as President of the Aviation Press Club (Belgium) for many years. She started her career as a journalist working for Belgium’s leading business magazine "Trends."

Cathy holds a Masters in Modern History from the KULeuven, Belgium, with distinction.

* Joe Anselmo, Editor-In-Chief, Aviation Week & Space Technology (AW&ST).

Joe manages a team of 7 writing editors in the USA, Europe and China. He also oversees Aviation Week’s business coverage and writes the weekly "Up Front commentary" in Aviation Week & Space Technology. Joe has worked at Aviation Week since 2004 and spent an earlier tour from 1993 to 2000 as (AW&ST)’s space technology editor and as a beat reporter for Aerospace Daily. From 2000 to 2004 he covered defense issues from Capitol Hill for Congressional Quarterly and served as Managing Editor of Washington Technology, a technology business magazine published by the Washington Post Company.

He has won 3 Aerospace Journalist of the Year awards for his reporting, most recently in 2010.

* Karen Walker is Editor-in-Chief at Air Transport World (ATW). She joined the magazine in that position in August 2013 and oversees the editorial content and direction of (ATW)’s digital, print, data and events products.

Previous positions include Chief Editor at Armed Forces Journal, Americas’ Editor at Air Transport Intelligence, and Executive Editor at Airline Business.

Karen studied in the UK, earning a degree in journalism. She is a dual citizen of the UK and USA and has lived and worked in both countries as well as in Singapore, where she was Asia Editor for Flight International.

Karen lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, Graham, and their rescue hounds and cats. She is a volunteer with Brood Basset Rescue and (SPCA) of Northern Virginia.


* Lee Ann Shay, Chief Editor Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO), Aviation Week Network.

As chief editor (MRO), Lee Ann Shay directs the content for Aviation Week’s coverage of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) across the group’s media portfolio, including Inside (MRO), (MRO) Network Daily and websites. She won the World Leadership Forum’s Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards in 2009 (Propulsion category) and in 2002 (Maintenance category), and has been a finalist in other years She also serves on the editorial advisory board of Penton’s (IoT) Institute.
