Mr Akinola Olateru is an aviation industry professional having worked in the industry for over 20 years. An Aircraft Engineer with a Nigerian licence; United Kingdom licence; and FAA licence, he also holds a M Sc in Air Transport Management from City University, London. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) and Nigeria and also a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, London

He has worked for several airlines and aviation corporations in the UK, Europe, and Nigeria at operational, management, and executive positions which has made him highly versatile in airline operations management and its related fields. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director and CEO of Axiom Air (AXL), He was the Group Head, Operations & Corporate Development with Skypower Aviation Handling Company Limited, where he worked closely with the CEO and grew the business from $750,000 per month to $1,500,000 per month within 2 years.


Barr (Mrs) G N Mbanefo holds HND (Secretarial Studies) from the Institute of Management & Technology, Enugu; LL.B (Hons.) & BL. from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and The Nigerian Law School, respectively. She started her working career with ELF Nigeria Limited, Port Harcourt, in 1987 where she gained experience in legal matters, before joining The Universal Insurance Company Limited and has worked in various capacities as Manager (Legal), and Company Secretary. She has considerable experience in Company Law practice and Company secretarial matters.

She is currently on the Board of Axiom Air Limited (AXL).



An astute legal professional with 20 years' post call experience, she has versatile industry experience in Aviation, Insurance, Trusteeship, and Legal Consultancy. Her career experience spans 2 decades garnered from both private law practice, and in-house corporate law and administrative exposure.

She joined the services of Axiom Air (AXL) from Skypower Aviation Handling Company Limited, where she served in top management position as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, and also as the Head of Administration with responsibilities of setting up, managing and consolidating the Administration Department. She is widely trained in Aviation Law having undertaken (IATA) Development training courses in International Air Law for Lawyers; Aviation Law for Managers; International Negotiation Skills.


He is a seasoned and accomplished aviation professional with about 38 years experience in aircraft engineering. He is a graduate of Christ School, Ado Ekiti, the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology and Airline Training Institute, San Mateo, California, USA, where he trained to obtain the FAA Flight Engineer's License. He has licenses for and technical competence on various aircraft type engines including (JT8D); 737 Airframe; 727; and DC-10. He has considerable experience gained from his services with Nigeria Airways Limited (NIA), where he retired as Director Engineering & Technical services; he has also served as Directors of Engineering with Nicon Airways Limited, Wings Aviation Limited and General Manager Engineering, EAS Airlines.
