April 2006: Corendon Airlines (CDN) is a low-cost airline providing scheduled, jet airplane links between the Netherlands and Turkey, together with charter flights.

June 2006: 737-4Q8 (25375, TC-MNM), ex-MNG Airlines (MHK), when (MHK) decided to abandon the passenger market and concentrate on their freight operations.

November 2007: Dutch Transport and Water Management Inspectorate levied a €30,000/$43,740 penalty on (TAP) Portugal, and a €15,000 fine on Pegasus Airlines (pgs) for repeated abuse of the legally set special noise regime, during the night and early morning period at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS). Compliance with the relevant environmental standards at (AMS) has been tightened since July, following an agreement between Airport Coordination Netherlands, the Dutch slot coordinator, and the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works. In September, the (IVW) imposed a €30,000 penalty on Fly Air (FLM), and €15,000 penalties on Alitalia (ALI), Delta Air Lines (DAL), Corendon Airlines (CDN), and Air Cairo (AOX). In July, Clickair (CLK) received administrative fines of €60,000 and €15,000, and Atlas Air (TLS) one penalty of €15,000.

March 2009: 2 737-4YOs (26073, TC-TJE - - SEE PHOTO - - "CDN-737-4YO-2009-04;" 26078, TC-TJF), (GEF) leased.

March 2010: Dutch authorities arrested a Swedish man about to pilot a Corendon Airlines (CDN) 737 from Amsterdam to Ankara with a forged license. The suspect used to have a valid Commercial Pilot's License but had been flying for 13 years with the forged document for companies in the UK, Belgium and Italy, spending some 10,000 unlicensed hours in the air. Apparently he had received a validation of the forged Airline Transport Pilot License allowing him to operate Turkish commercial airplanes.

April 2010: 2 737-8GJs (29120, TC-TJG; 29121, TC-TJH), EX-(D-ABAT; D-ABAU), (GEF) leased.

May 2010: Corendon Airlines (CDN) has added its 1st 2 ex-Air Berlin (BER) 737-86Js. (CDN) launched a weekly, Amsterdam - Antalya - Ercan service on May 16.

January 2012: Corendon Airlines (CDN) has wet-leased one of its 737-86Js to Iraqi Airways (IRQ).

Subsidiary, Corendon Dutch Airlines has launched several new scheduled charter services this winter:
Amsterdam - Faro: 3x-weekly seasonal 737-800 service starting on March 5;
Amsterdam - Ovda: 2x-weekly seasonal 737-800 service has started on October 27;
Eindhoven - Ohrid: weekly seasonal 737-800 service starting on May 25.

June 2012: Corendon Airlines (CDN) has wet-leased an additional 737-800 (32576, TC-SKR) from Sky Airlines (SYC) for the summer charter season. (CDN) already operates 5 737-800s, 2 737-400s and a 737-300.

October 2012: INCDT: The USA National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will assist the Turkish government in the investigation of an October 14 fire in the cockpit of a Corendon Airlines (CDN) 737-800.

According to the (NTSB), the fire occurred at 4 am local time as the airplane was being pushed back from the gate in Antalya, Turkey, for a scheduled flight to Trondheim, Norway. “The airplane was evacuated, and there were reports of injuries among the 189 passengers and 7 crew members,” it said.

The investigation is being conducted by the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation, which will release all information.

January 2013: Corendon Airlines ((IATA) Code: XC; Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen International airport (SAW)) (CDN) has wet-leased its 737-800 (29121, TC-TJH) to Eastern Express (Kazakhstan) ((IATA) Code: LIS, based at Almaty (ALA)). The airplane is used for charter services on behalf of Kazakh tour operators from Almaty to vacation destinations such as Phuket International (HKT) and Sharjah International (SHJ) airports.

Corendon Airlines ((IATA) Code: XC, based at Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen International (SAW)) has retired its 2 remaining 737-400s (26073, TC-TJE) and (26078, TC-TJF) from its fleet. According to Skyliner Aviation, the 2 737-400s will be replaced by the company's own 2 737-800s currently operating on a wet-lease contract on behalf of Iraqi Airways ((IATA) Code: IA, based at Baghdad International (BGW)) (IRQ) that is expected to end soon. Corendon (CDN) now operates a single 737-300 alongside 5 737-800s although 1 of the 5 737-800s is currently still grounded at Antalya (AYT) following a cockpit fire incident on October 14.

Air Lease Corporation (ALE) has signed a 5-year lease with Corendon Airlines (CDN) for 1 737-800, which is scheduled for delivery in February. (CDN) has experienced significant annual passenger growth since (CDN) launched in 2005.

March 2013: AirFrance Industries (AFI) (KLM) (E&M) won a contract from Corendon Airlines (CDN) to provide engine maintenance services for its (CFM56-7)s. The contract includes 2 service types; core performance restoration, a maintenance procedure between a complete overhaul and on wing maintenance, and life cycle parts replacement, the replacement of used engine parts after a given number of cycles.

June 2013: 737-85P (28535, TC-TJN), ex-(EC-HJP), (AWAS) (AWW) leased.

May 2014: Turkish charter airline, Corendon Airlines (CDN) has signed a new 5-year contract with Jeppesen to integrate the company's digital navigation and Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) services into its commercial airplane fleet.

(CDN) is looking to eliminate all paper-based Flight Planning materials from its airplanes to reduce fuel consumption, according to Erhan Bayram, Flight Operations Manager at Corendon Airlines (CDN).

“This agreement with Jeppesen will allow us to transition from paper to digital flight information, as we proceed with our (EFB) authorization process,” said Erhan Bayram, Flight Operations Manager, (CDN). “Our goal is to eliminate volumes of heavy, paper-based flight information with this shift to (EFB) services on iPad, which reduces fuel consumption for each flight and increases operational efficiency.”

November 2014: Corendon.com Netherlands (CND), the Dutch subsidiary of the Corendon Group, commenced a new service from its Amsterdam (AMS) base to Lanzarote (ACE) in the Canary Islands on November 2nd. The 3,005 km route, that is already served 3x-weekly by transavia.com (TAV), will be operated weekly (Sundays) by Corendon.com Netherlands’ (CND) 189Y-seat 737-800s.

November 2015: A320-214 (566, ES-SAL), returned to SmartLynx (LAJ) after lease.

March 2016: Lufthansa Systems (LHS) and Turkish low-cost carrier (LCC) Corendon Airlines (CDN) have signed a 5-year agreement for NetLine/Ops ++ operations control solution and NetLine/Crew for crew management.

April 2017: 737-8BK (33022, TC-TJP) leased to Travel Service (TSV).

May 2017: 737-8SH (42058, TC-COR), Air Lease Corporation (ALE) leased, 737-86N (34253, TC-TJO), sub-leased to SpiceJet (ROJ).
