July 2008: Discovery Air (DCV) was incorporated this month as a private limited liability company. (DCV) is a private sector-driven airline built from the ground up with the aspiration to become a Nigerian multinational company. As part of the First Deepwater Discovery Group of companies led by Babatunde Babalola, the airline is also backed by oil and gas interests.
(DCV) is fully owned by Nigerian shareholders and operating in Nigeria, with Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos as its main base.
