April 1989: Danish Air Transport (DTR) was founded by Jesper and Kirsten Rungholm as a specialist cargo carrier. Initially, (DTR) transported everything from postage (air mail), packages, and race horses to supplies for the annual Paris-Dakar car rally.
May 1994: Danish Air Transport (DTR) started passenger charter flights.
November 1996: Scheduled passenger and cargo services were added between Esbjerg, Aalborg, and Stavanger.

October 2009: Passenger jet services were introduced primarily for ad hoc and inclusive travel (IT) charters.
November 2010: Scheduled passenger & cargo flights were started linking Pau in SW France with Marseilles and Rome Fiumicino airports.
May 2015: A320-233 (2102, OY-JRZ), ex-(EI-FGO), delivery at Billund.
July 2015: Danish Air Transport (DTR) operates passenger schedules between Billund, Esbjerg and destinations in Norway, including Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger. (DTR) also links Pau in SW France with Marseilles and Rome Fiumicino airports. Passenger and cargo charters plus wet-lease (ACMI) services are offered world wide.
