February 2004: V Bird Airlines (VBD), Niederrhein - Rome (Ciampino).

July 2004: A320-214 (1370, PH-BMD) wet-leased to Tunis Air (TUN).

October 2004: Dutchbird (DUT) was acquired by the Exel Aviation Group with the contract stipulating that the airline is to continue operations under its own name for one year. Later, this acquisition was not completed and fell through after Harm Prins, President of Exel was indicted on charges of money laundering. Long-haul flights have been taken over by Martinair (MTH) and Transavia (TAV) has assumed medium-range charters.

December 2004: To acquire 4 737-400's, will retain its 757's, and end the lease of its A320's early.

Later suspended operations.
