April 2003: Eritrean Airlines (ERI) has jet airplane passenger operations from Asmara to Amsterdam, via Milan, Dubai, via Jeddah, Nairobi, and Entebbe. Cargo flights are to be added using dedicated freighters on services to Italy and the Netherlands.

April 2012: Eritrean Airlines (ERI) plans to add Frankfurt International (FRA) as its second European destination in mid-April initially offering three weekly services from Asmara Yohannes IV airport (ASM).
(ERI) has wet-leased an A319-112 (3139, LZ-AOA) from BH Air - Balkan Holidays Air (BGB). It will use the airplane on its services to Frankfurt International airport (FRA) and Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International airport (FCO) among other destinations.
November 2012: Eritrean (ERI) currently operates a single 767-200 and wet-leases an A319-100 and an A320-200 from charter carrier BH Air - Balkan Holidays (BGH).
June 2013: Eritrean Airlines ((IATA) Code: B8, (ICAO) Code: ERT, based at Asmara) (ERI) will code share with Swedish virtual carrier, FlyOlympic (based at Stockholm Arlanda), on the latter's upcoming services to Asmara. In an interview with Eritrea's "TesfaNews," Fly Olympic (CEO), Akis Kafala, said that an agreement was reached following talks with the (CEO) of the Eritrean national carrier, Ghebretnsae Petros.
As previously reported, Skygreece Airlines ((ICAO) Code: LGW, based at Athens International) will operate a 767-300ER (26470, SZ-BPN), on behalf of FlyOlympic on charter flights connecting London Gatwick (LGW) and Stockholm Arlanda with Mogadishu and Asmara using Athens International as an intermediate stop.
