April 2004: Air Atlanta Europe (EUK) is a subsidiary of Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID), operating on behalf of Excel Airways (SBE) from London Gatwick, and Virgin Atlantic (VAA). During the winter, the fleet flies mostly on Airplane, crew, maintenance, & insurance (ACMI) wet-lease contracts in other countries, returning to the UK for the summer season.
