August 2008: Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) was established by the Suzuyo Group. (FDA) concluded an agreement with Mandarin Airlines (MDN) whereby (MDN) will provide assistance in the fields of Operations, Marketing, and Maintenance.

March 2009: Main Base: Shizuoka airport (FSZ). This airport which is located in the Shizuoka Prefecture, is currently under construction. The delay results from shortening of the runway from 2500 m to 2200 m, due to environmental and noise concerns after the extension was completed in 2006. June 2009: Embraer (EMB) announced the sale of an 84-seat E175 to Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) for delivery next year. (FDA) took delivery of its two ordered E170s and expects to launch revenue service next month. (FDA) parent, Suzuyo Group's original order was for two firm E170s plus one option, but the manufacturer said that deal was amended to allow for the purchase of the E175.

August 2009: (IBS) Software Services signed a five-year contract with Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) to supply its iFly Res technology to manage (FDA)'s inventory and reservation system out of Shizuoka.

May 2010: Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) operations include two daily flights to Komatsu and one daily flight each to Kagoshima and Kumamoto from its main base at Shizuoka airport. Last month, it commenced daily flights to Fukuoka and one daily flight to Sapporo. Next month, (FDA) will start operations to Matsumoto.
Next month, (FDA) will start code share flights with Japan Airlines Domestic (JAS), between Shinshu - Matsumoto - Fukuoka.
October 2010: Skyworld Aviation placed one ex-Shuttle America Embraer E170 with Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) on behalf of Republic Airways Holdings.
Embraer announced it has signed a contract with Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) for an E175, which will have a single-class configuration with 84Y seats. The order also includes an option for one additional airplane.
"We are honored that (FDA) has reaffirmed its confidence in the E-Jets family and ordered another Embraer E175," said Embraer Executive VP Airline Market, Paulo César de Souza e Silva.
With this agreement, (FDA) will end 2010 with a total of five EMB-Jets (three E170s–one pre-owned and bought this year–and two E175s), according to its website.

August 2011: Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) is an independently owned low cost carrier (LCC) based at Shizuoka Mount Fuji Airport (FSZ), in central Japan. Domestic services are operated to Fukuoka; Kagoshima; Komatsu; Kumamoto; Matsumoto; Nagoya; and Sapporo. Other services are planned to Niigata; Sendai; Tokyo, and Toyama. International services to destinations in China, South Korea, and Taiwan are to follow.

December 2012: Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) has placed an order for two additional Embraer E175s valued at $81.6 million. (FDA), which has now ordered eight E175-Jets, will use the airplanes to expand its network and services throughout Japan.
The E175s, which will be configured with 84Y seats in a single-class layout, will be equipped with auto-land systems to perform CAT III approaches and land in limited visual conditions.
(FDA) launched operations in July 2009. Prior to its launch, it ordered two E170s and added an E175 to its backlog before the end of 2009. In 2010 - 2011, it further increased its order book to include another E170 and two more E175s.
(FDA), which has bases in Nagoya and Shizuoka, serves 10 secondary cities in Japan using its six E-Jets and has carried more than >1.3 million passengers to date.
July 2014: Embraer (EMB) announced that Japan’s Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) ordered three 84-seat E175s with three options, in an order valued at $256.8 million at current list prices. (FDA) currently operates three E170s and five E175s.
