Location: Georgia is situated on the border of Europe and Asia, on the SW part of Caucasus region. The border countries are: Russia; Turkey; Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Geography: Georgia is characterized by the diversity of nature (from snowy peaks to subtropical shores). The country is bordered by the Black sea from the west side. The average temperature of summers in Georgia is +22 degrees Celsius; in winter it is +5 degrees Celsius. The country’s 34% is covered by woods, 13% by lowlands.
The resorts: The city of Batumi is located on the shore of the Black sea which represents the administrative center of the Acharian autonomy.
On the Eastern part of the country, in the Kakheti Region, there are cities like Telavi and Signagi.
There is a multiplicity of the ski resorts in Georgia: Svaneti (which is located 1,800 meters above sea level). It is the highest populated point in the region. Kazbegi (is located 1,750 square meters above sea level, under the glacier).
The culture: Georgia is the country with one of the oldest cultures.
The Georgian national polyphonic songs and dances are famous and acknowledged around the world. The cultural originality of the country is reflected obviously upon the historical-cultural inheritance of the country and the architecture of the Georgian historical monuments.
The cuisine: The Georgian traditional cuisine is one of the richest around the world, which is popular not only inside the country but also outside of its borders. The Georgian wine is famous and popular around the world.

August 2012: Fly Georgia (FGE) launched 2x-weekly seasonal international service from Tbilisi Lochini International airport (TBS) to Antalya airport (AYT), Turkey.
September 2012: Fly Georgia (FGE) is a new, privately owned and controlled airline, offering full service flights to a number of destinations in Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

October 2012: Fly Georgia (FGE) launched its 1st scheduled international route on September 30. From the country capital Tbilisi (TBS), the privately owned A319 operator now takes on the flag carrier Georgian Airways (GEI) on the route to Amsterdam (AMS). Each of the 2 competing airlines now operates the route 2x-weekly.
January 2013: FlyGeorgia (FGE) inaugurated services on the 2,100 km route from Tbilisi (TBS) to Dubai (DXB) on January 3. John Kohlsaat (CEO) of the Georgian airline, said: “Our country has something to offer everyone, whether traveling for business or leisure and (FGE)’s chief priority is to deliver the highest quality service and safety to our passengers to ensure their journey to our airline’s home country is a good experience.” In addition to this newly launched 2x-weekly service to Dubai, which it will operate in competition with flydubai (FDB)’s 3x-weekly flights, (FGE) has an ambitious plan to take delivery of +2 more airplanes and add 4 European destinations by March 2013. 1 of the airline’s 2 A319s will be deployed on the Dubai route.
April 2013: FlyGeorgia (FGE), which inaugurated its 1st flight only 8 months ago, continues to expand its network, and in addition to the recently launched Kiev Boryspil service, it added +1 more international destination on April 19. (FGE) connected its Tbilisi (TBS) base with Düsseldorf (DUS) in Germany and now serves the city pair with 2x-weekly frequencies, using a 125-seat A319. (FGE) is the sole operator on the 3,100 km route.

May 2013: FlyGeorgia (FGE) commenced operations on the 3,200 km route from Tbilisi (TBS) to Brussels (BRU) on 6 May. 2x-weekly flights are offered in the market and operated using A319s. (FGE) only flies to 1 other (EU) destination, Düsseldorf, which it serves also with 2x-weekly frequencies.
October 2013: FlyGeorgia (FGE) has been struggling with financial difficulties. (FGE) suspended services after Georgian authorities revoked its Air Operations Certificate (AOC). This followed the seizure of 2 of its 3 A319-100 airplanes in Brussels over unpaid debts.
January 2014: FlyGeorgia (FGE) plans to re-launch as a premium carrier - - SEE ATTACHED - - "FGE-2014-01 - RE-LAUNCH."
