June 2002: 1 737-300 (23631, N371FA), ex-America West (AMW), Ansett WorldWide (AWW) leased, Falcon Air Express (FAX) wet-leased to Sol Air, Honduras for operations to Miami (MIA), from San Pedro-Sula, Tegucigalpa, Managua, Roatan, and San Salvador. Sol Air had originally proposed its name as "AeroHonduras."
August 2002: In 11/02, 737-300 (Falcon Air Express wet-leased to Sol Air to operate Dallas and Miami to Roatan (Saturdays). 727-231 (21967, N54348), (FAX) wet-leased.
OCTOBER 2003: 737-3K2 (23411, N550FA), Falcon Air Express (FAX) leased in Sol Air colors.
February 2004: Nelson Ramiz, President of Aeropostal (LAV) purchased Sol Air (HND), who flies airplanes wet-leased by (FAX).
May 2004: Nicaraguan (DGCA) canceled Sol Air's (HND) license to operate.
June 2004: In 7/04, Sol Air (HND) will adopt its corporate name of "AeroHonduras."
July 2004: San Pedro Sula - Guatemala City, Managua; - Managua, Panama City, San Jose.
November 2004: Miami - Managua.
April 2005: AeroHonduras (HND) is a private carrier operating scheduled flights within Central America and to the USA.

October 2005: AeroHonduras (HND) has suspended operations after the airplanes it wet-leased from Falcon Air Express (FAX) were taken back. Although the airline says this is a temporary move, it has been suffering for sometime, with both financial and operational issues.
