October 2009: Kalitta Charters (KFS) hired 4 pilots (FC) in September for a September class. (KFS) does not expect any more Flight Crew (FC) hiring this year.
November 2009: Buys 727-224F (22252, N746DH), from Astar Air Cargo (DHL) and re-registered as (N725CK).

February 2011: Kalitta Charters (KFS) is not hiring or accepting flight crew (FC) applications.
January 2012: Kalitta Charters (KFS) is looking for Flight Crew (FC) pilots interested in flying Part 135 operations on (KFS)'s Dassault Falcon 20's and Bombardier LearJets.
(KFS) is currently recruiting 727 Flight Engineers (FE)s. An (A&P) license is considered a plus as well as (FEX) license and a recommendation from a pilot (FC) currently flying for (KFS). August 2013: According to FAPA.aero, no flight crew (FC) were hired in April, 6 were in May and none in June. Interviews were held July 15 - 26th for up to 20 (FC) candidates/ At least +6 more pilots (FC) were required for the August class, with potentially another class before the end of the year.
August 2015: Kalitta Charters ((IATA) Code: K9, based at Detroit Willow Run) (KFS) said it has acquired the operational assets of Airnet Systems ((IATA) Code: 1A, based at Columbus Port Columbus, Ohio) in a move it says will provide the Columbus-based company with financial and operational backing to foster its long-term growth.
AirNet entered into receivership in February last year and has been looking for an investor ever since.
Aside from Part 145 Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services, Airnet also operates a fleet of Beech (twin turboprop) Barons and Bombardier Learjets on scheduled and ad-hoc cargo charter services. It specializes in the transport of radio-pharmaceuticals/nuclear medicine in particular.
As a subsidiary of Kalitta Charters (KFS), Airnet would compliment its parent's operations in the field of (MRO) as well as Executive Charter, Air Ambulance, and Air Cargo operations.
