September 2011: ""Mongolian Airlines Group LLC" was founded, with 100% share acquisition of AN-2 airplane's operation rights by "Tselmeg Tengeriin Nisleg LLC." The airline itself was largely tied to the political groups of Mongolia, namely Battylga Khaltmaa, who's believed to own shares at the airline and is behind a lobby for privatization of (MIAT) Mongolian Airlines (MNG) for later take-over.

December 2011: Mongolian Airlines (MML) commenced services on December 2, 2011.

January 2012: Mongolian Airlines (MML) purchased two Dutch manufactured Fokker F-50 type airpplanes in 2011 and commenced its first scheduled domestic flight on January 2, 2012 from Ulan Bator to Bayankhongor (BYN) in central Mongolia.

February 2012: With the leasing of two Airbus A319s, delivered in early 2012, it became the first operator with such airplanes in Mongolia.

July 2012: On July 14th, the private Mongolian carrier, Mongolian Airlines (MML) launched services from Ulaanbaatar (ULN) to Tokyo Haneda (HND), making the Japanese capital its second international destination following the launch of Hong Kong services just over a month ago. Thrice-weekly services are now offered on the 3,000-km route, and will be operated using A319s on a seasonal basis until early September.

April 2013: To avoid confusion, the Mongolian Airlines Group has changed its name to Hunnu Air (MML) to be clearly different from the international flag carrier, (MIAT) Mongolian Airlines (MNG).

(IATA) Code: MR. (ICAO Code: MML - (Callsign - TRANS MONGOLIA).

Parent Company: (MAK) Corporation.

Hunnu Air (MML) is based at Chinggis Khaan International Airport (ULN).

Domestic Destinations: Altai (LTI); Bayankhingor (BYN); Choibalsan (COQ); Dalanzadgad (DLZ); Khovd (HVD); Murun (MXV); Ulaangom (ULO); and Uliastai (ULZ).

International Destinations: Bangkok (BKK)*; Hailar (HLD); Hong Kong (HKG); Manzhouli (NZH); Paris (CDG)**; and Shanghai (PVG).
* Temporarily suspended. ** Seasonal only.

(MML) fleet consists of 2 A319s, 3 Fokker F 50s and has 1 A330-200 close to being on order.

March 2014: Hunnu Air (MML) confirmed to French media's International French Travel Market (IFTM) in Paris that it will launch its first long-haul direct flight from Ulaanbaatar to Paris in the second quarter of 2014 with one technical stop with an Airbus A319 airplane. (MML) confirmed it will be receiving an Airbus A330-200 airplane which will be received in the second quarter of 2015. It plans to also operate on its second long-haul flight to Singapore from Ulaanbaatar as early as the fourth quarter of 2015 or early 2016.

Other destinations to be opened by Hunnu Air (MML) include Hailar, Huh Hot in China, and Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk in Russia.

Hunnu Air (mml) operates international scheduled services to Hong Kong (HKG) with 3 frequencies, Manzhouli (NZH) with 2 frequencies, Hailar (HLD) with 2 frequencies and Bangkok (BKK) with 2 frequencies from its hub Chinggis Khaan International Airport (ULN). (MML) recently announced it will fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport non-stop with 1 to 2 frequencies from June 9th 2014.

Four seasonal charter flights are operated to Jeju (CJU), Sanya (SYX), Manzhouli (NZH) and several Japanese cities.

Domestic routes operated by Fokker 50s are Dalanzadgad (DLZ), Murun (MXV), Choibalsan (COQ), Hovd (HVD), Altai (LTI), Bayankhongor (BYN), Hovdyn Bulgan (HBU) and Donoi (ULZ).

April 2014: Air Cargo freight service Ulan Bator to Shanghai.
