July 2008: Snecma Services and Nouvelair (NOU), a privately owned Tunisian airline, signed a 5-year contract extension for maintenance of (CFM56-5A)s, further bolstering their partnership.

November 2008: Nouvelair (NOU) and Karthago Airlines (KAG) have pooled their resources in what has ben termed a "merger." However, the move will result in Karthago (KAG) becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of NouvelAir (NOU).

Tunisian Transport Minister, Abderrahim Zouari formally revealed the plan in October at the Arab Air Carriers Organization conference in Tunis.
