September 2006: Air Nepal International (NPL) operates regional passenger jet airplane services from the capital Kathmandu.

December 2007: The European Commission (EC) and Nepal announced a horizontal air services agreement allowing any (EU) airline to operate between Nepal and any (EU) nation, where a bilateral agreement with Nepal exists and traffic rights are secured.
August 2013: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has asked international carriers not to operate wide body airplanes to Kathmanduís Tribhuvan International Airport from September, due to safety concerns.
October 2014: Visit Mt Everest (29,029 ft), the highest mountain in the world.
