(OBE) will serve holiday destinations, including Montego Bay in Jamaica, Cancun in Mexico, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and Salvador da Bahia in Brazil.

June 2012: Orbest (Spain) ((IATA) Code: IP, based at Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan airport (PMI)) has launched its 1st long-haul leisure services from Barcelona El Prat International (BCN) offering weekly seasonal A330-300 services to both Cancún International (CUN) and Punta Cana International (PUJ) until mid-September. It typically has only served long-haul destinations from Madrid Barajas (MAD).
Iberia (IBE) was selected by Orbest Airlines (OBE) to provide maintenance for its A320 and A330 components for 3 years. The contract covers disassembly, inspection, repairs, parts replacement, assembly, testing, and certification of replaced components.
February 2013: Orbest (Spain) ((IATA) Code: IP, based at Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan (PMI)) (OBE) has been severely affected by the bankruptcy protection filing of its parent, tour operator group Orizonia, one of the largest tour operators in Spain. Orizonia had agreed in December to sell its business to Globalia, another large Spanish travel group that also controls Air Europa ((IATA) Code: UX, based at Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan (PMI)) (ARE). Spain's National Competition Commission had announced on February 13 that it would need more time to review the competitive impact of the acquisition. Globalia has said that it would still be committed to the acquisition if it receives approval from the commission. Orbest (OBE) continues limited domestic operations with its A320-200s and long-haul flights with an A330-300 (670, EC-JHP) as well as wet-lease operations with A330-300 (833, CS-TRH) of Orbest (Portugal) ((IATA) Code: 4O, based at Lisbon Portela de Sacavem (LIS)) on behalf of Conviasa ((IATA) Code: V0, based at Caracas Simón Bolívar International (CCS)) and A330-300 (1097, EC-LEQ) on behalf of (PAL) Airlines ((IATA) Code: 5P, based at Santiago de Chile Arturo Merino Benítez International (SCL)). It has, however, said that it could only guarantee operations until early next week.
