Koror is the capital city of the Republic of Palau, the official language is English, it has a 0.1 million population, has a 458 sq m island, and was established in 1994.
October 2003: 737-33A (CFM56-3B2) (24094), ex-Air Calin (NCI), Volito Aviation, Sweden leased, "D" check at Air New Zealand (ANZES), operated on (ANZ) Air Operator's Certificate (AOC), wet-leased.
November 2003: Plans to begin service in May 2004.
April 2004: Palau Micronesia Air (PMZ) plans to begin jet airplane services in May 2004 using an ex-Air Calin (NCI) 737-33A that will initially operate under an Air New Zealand (ANZ) air operator's certificate (AOC) on routes from Palau to parts of Micronesia, the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam.
Parent organization/shareholders: Alan Seid (100%).
Despite funding problems is hoping to start operations in May 2004 with the help of Airwork NZ (ANX).
June 2004: 1st 737-33A (24094, ZK-PLU), (ANX) wet-leased.
To fly to Guam (4/week), and to neighboring islands of Yap, Chuuk, & Pohnpei (2/week). Also, Palau - Saipan (1/week), - Manila (3/week), - Darwin (2/week). 2nd 737-300 later in 2004 for service to Japan.
December 2004: Although it started operations in September 2004, it has temporarily suspended operations in order to allow a company-wide restructuring to permit the resumption of service as soon as possible.
January 2005: Ceased operations.
