June 2008: 1st 737-3M8Fs (23528, N103KH), ex-Kitty Hawk Air Cargo (KHC), GECAS (GEF) leased - - SEE ATTACHED PHOTO - - "QJT-737-3M8F-JUN08."
May 2012: Quikjet (QJT) Chief Operating Officer (COO), Preetham Philip has said that it plans to add three more ATR72-200Fs in addition to its single airplane. At a later stage, four 737-400Fs are expected to join the fleet.
February 2016: Quikjet Airlines ((IATA) Code: DQ, based at Bangalore International) (QJT) has secured its Scheduled Air Operators Permit from the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ahead of its planned resumption of commercial operations.
The announcement follows the arrival of the Indian freight specialist's only current aircraft 737-400F (28490, VT-SVA) in October last year.
The (ASL) Airlines, Switzerland ((IATA) Code: FT, based at Basle/Mulhouse/Freiburg) subsidiary had previously operated scheduled domestic services with an ATR 72-200F freighter wet-leased from its Swiss parent.
