June 2013: Rio Linhas Aéreas ((ICAO) Code: RIO, based at Curitiba) (RIL) is set to take delivery of an ex-Air Nigeria ((IATA) Code: VK, based at Lagos) (VNA) 737-4Q8 (25375), (ILF) leased, that will be converted into a 737-400F and re-registered as (PP-WSA). The 737-4Q8 was originally stored in Goodyear. (RIL) currently has a fleet of six 727-200F freighters.

(RIL) has taken delivery of its first 737-4Q8F (25375, PP-WSA), following a delivery ceremony at Curitiba on Saturday, March 29. The former Air Nigeria (VNA) passenger jet is the first 737F freighter ordered as part of (RIL)'s fleet renewal program.
(RIL) also operates five 727-200Fs and a 767-281F on behalf of (DHL) Express and for Correios (Brazilian Postal Service's courier division).

May 2014: (PEMCO) World Air Services has delivered a Boeing 737-400F to Brazil's Rio Linhas Aéreas (RIL). The 11-pallet freighter was converted at (PEMCO)ís Costa Rican conversion operation at COOPESA (COO).
