The Kingdom of Norway was established in 1814, it covers an area of 32,878 sq km, its population is 4.5 million, its capital city is Oslo, and its official language is Norwegian.
August 2009: Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID) has entered into a joint-venture (JV) co-operation with the Norwegian VIP flight provider Sundt Air (MDT). The joint venture has been given the name “Sundt Atlanta Skybridge (SDT),” and the main focus of the joint venture is to explore marketing opportunities for long-haul air freight out of the Scandinavian market. The initial steps of the joint venture consist of acquiring one 747-230F (22363, TF-ARM) from Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID) to be stationed at Oslo Gardemoen Airport, being offered for ad-hoc charter flights out of the Nordic Regions in coming months.
Further steps of this cooperation between Air Atlanta Icelandic (AID) and Sundt Air (MDT) is to evaluate the market opportunities for scheduled Trans-Atlantic services out of Norway, exporting salmon and industrial products to the USA market. Other Nordic markets are furthermore being considered.
