Each of Sky King (SKN)'s fleet of 737-200 airplanes are configured with comfort and convenience in mind. A multitude of seating configurations are available, offering space for 54 to 124 passengers. Seating configurations with all first-class (F) seating is available up to 64 seat capacity. Larger seating configurations will require the use of some tourist class (C) seating. In-flight amenities include power for uninterrupted laptop use and personal DVD/CD entertainment systems with premium headsets.

Each Sky King (SKN) flight is accompanied by a highly trained and certified flight mechanic (MT) in order to insure the highest quality of service and reliability.

April 2012: Sky King (SKN) operates regular charter flights on behalf of "C & T Charters" from Miami to Havana (La Habana) and Camaguey, and from New York (JFK) to Havana.

(SKN) has placed the charterer's name on 737-4Q8 (24706, N916SK - - SEE ATTACHED - - "SKN-737-4Q8 - 2012-04").

Restrictions on travel to Cuba by USA citizens and Cuban Americans have been increasingly relaxed since 2009.

September 2012: Sky King (SKN) has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on September 28 as the second USA carrier on the same day following Southern Air (SOF). (SKN) currently operates a 737-200 and four 737-400s on behalf of tour operators, casinos and the government. (SKN) has blamed the bankruptcy of Direct Air (MBD) in spring 2012, one of its key customers for which it had operated scheduled public charter services, as one of the key reasons for the bankruptcy filing. It hopes to be able to restructure its debts and get better contracts from its suppliers to eventually reemerge from bankruptcy protection again.

February 2013: Sky King ((IATA) Code:5K, based at Lakeland Linder Regional airport (LAL)) (SKN) has announced that it has secured Debtor in Possession from a group of investors headed by aviation entrepreneur Daniel Carson allowing it to continue restructuring its operations under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Sky King (SKN) currently operates four 737-400s on charter services and had filed for bankruptcy protection back on September 28, 2012 blaming the earlier bankruptcy of its customer Direct Air ((IATA) Code: D1, based at Myrtle Beach International (MYR)) (MBD) as one of the reasons for its financial difficulties. The USA Department of Transportation has now also fined Sky King (SKN) $500,000 USD for the violation of public charter regulations related to the bankruptcy of Direct Air (MBD) where several operators that have already been fined like Sky King (SKN) had continued to operate charter flights for Direct Air (MBD) despite non-payment and then left passengers stranded following Direct Air (MBD)'s bankruptcy.

February 2014: Sky King ((IATA) Code: 5K, based at Lakeland) (SKN) has ceased operations reports out of Florida claim. According to "The Ledger" the charter specialist laid off several employees in December before undergoing a board reshuffle in December which saw Dan Carson, replacing Frank Visconti as President. However, conflicting reports out of Tampa International suggest (SKN) still operates weekly flights to Cuba. Using its sole airplane, a 737-400, (23870, N870AG), Sky King (SKN) had specialized in operating flights for the US government, a casino in Atlantic City and a group of tour operators that flies to the Caribbean.

August 2013: Its last sole airplane, 737-4YO (23870, LY-CGC) now is operated by Grand Cru Airlines ((ICAO) Code: (GCA), based at Vilnius, Lithuania).
