October 2002: "Kyodo News International" stated: Skynet Asia Airways failed to pay the state about 70 million YEN in landing fees and other costs by a October 2002 deadline. The arrears consist of costs for landing permits and fees for using aviation facilities for July 2002 & August 2002.

November 2003: To test market, operates flights with all-male flight attendants (CA) in a bid to attract female passengers. Is offering all-male cabin service on its Tokyo - Miyazaki route. Four male cabin attendants (CA) wearing bow ties will introduce themselves to customers and offer to have photos with them in addition to providing normal drink service.
May 2004: Skynet Asia (SNU) is a Japanese low-cost carrier operating services between Miyazaki and Tokyo. Plans route expansion to key cities in Japan and across Asia.

March 2006: All Nippon Airway (ANA)'s code share agreement with Skynet Asia Airways (SNU) will commence April 1 and calls for the placement of (ANA)'s code on (SNU) flights from Tokyo Haneda to Miyazaki, Kumamoto and Nagasaki. (SNU) flights will be available through (ANA) sales and reservation systems. In addition, (SNU) will move from Terminal 1 at Haneda to (ANA)'s Terminal 2, where its customers will have access to (ANA)'s self-serve check-in and ticketing kiosks.
May 2008: Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced the following policies that will take effect when Tokyo Haneda's fourth runway opens in 2010, the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation reported: Night curfew will be reduced to 10 pm from 11 pm, to "allow more convenient schedules for USA and European flights," international slots will be restricted to 30,000 until October 2010, and eventually will increase to 60,000, with new slots going to "expansion of Asian city routes where business need is strongest," and domestic slots will double to 20,000 annually.
June 2009: Skynet Asia Airways (SNU) reported a +1.4% year-on-year revenue increase for the 12 months ended 31-Mar-2009, Fiscal Year (FY) 2008/2009) $235.1 million. (SUN) reported an operating profit of +$1.5 million, which was down -61.9% year-on-year, as operating costs increased +2.5% to $233.6 million for the period. (SNU) cited increased fuel and maintenance costs as key reasons behind the increase in operating costs.
TRAX USA will supply Skynet Asia Airways (SNU) with its EVO solution, the latest version of its TRAX Maintenance software.
September 2009: SR Technics (SWS) announced a five-year extension of its integrated component solutions agreement with Skynet Asia Airways (SNU) covering its eight 737-400s.

February 2010: Skynet Asia Airways (SNU) of Japan announced the lease of one 737-800 from (AWAS) (AWW) for delivery in the summer of 2011. It currently operates nine 737-400s. The airplane will feature the "Boeing Sky Interior."
February 2011: Skynet Asia Airways (SNU) operates services to the following domestic scheduled destinations:
* Tokyo Haneda Airport - Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Oita.
* Okinawa Naha Airport - Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Nagasaki.
June 2011: Rebrands as "Solaseed Air" (SNU) although the company's official name remains as "Skynet Asia Airways" - - SEE ATTACHED NEW LIVERY ON - - "SNU-2011-06-REBRAND-737-81D."

August 2011: Solaseed Air (SNU) recently re-branded from "Skynet Asia Airways" (the company's official name is still Skynet Asia Airways) is a Japanese low-cost carrier (LCC) operating jet airplane services between key cities in Japan and regional services across Asia.
Company slogan: "Seed Smiles in the Sky."

September 2011: (MTU) Maintenance Zhuhai signed a contract with Solaseed Air (SNU) to perform maintenance on (SNU)'s (CFM56-7) engines. The agreement runs for an initial five years.
October 2011: ST Aerospace won a contract to support Solaseed Air (SNU)ís fleet of (CFM56-7B) and (CFM56-7BE) engines over five years. It will provide off-wing engine maintenance support, technical support and short term leasing of the engines for (SNU).

November 2012: (MTU) Maintenance Zhuhai signed engine maintenance contracts with China Postal Airlines (CPZ) and Solaseed Air (SNU) covering (CFM56-3) engines.
March 2013: (GE) Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) (GEF) announced delivery of two new 737-800s to Solaseed Air (SNU) to help renew (SNU)ís fleet. Both airplanes came from (GEF)ís existing order book with Boeing (TBC). SEE PHOTO - - "SNU-737-800 - 2013-03."
Solaseed Air (SNU) operates a fleet of 14 airplanes to seven destinations in Japan.
June 2013: 737-86N (39395, JA803X), Sumimoto Mitsui Finance & Leasing Company leased.
July 2013: 737-86N (39431, JA807X - - SEE PHOTO - - "SNU-737-800 - 2013-07"), delivery.
April 2014: Solaseed Air ((IATA) Code: 6J, based at Miyazaki) (SNU) has taken delivery of its first of three 737-800s on lease from (GE) Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) (GEF). The 737-800 (41247, JA809X) was ferried from Everett to Japan and will be joined by the other two jets later in the year.
As it now stands, Solaseed Air (SNU) operates a fleet of nine 737-800s and four 737-400s on flights throughout Japan, including Tokyo Haneda, Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Oita, and Kobe.
(SNU) currently operates 13 airplanes domestically and serves 8 destinations, 8 routes and 62 daily flights.
October 2014: Solaseed Air (SNU) has retired the 737-400 from revenue service following the type's last scheduled flight between Kumamoto and Tokyo Haneda on September 29. In anticipation of the 737-400's retirement and its associated drop in capacity, (SNU) has moved to supplement its existing fleet of eleven 737-800s with additional leases.
As it stands, (JTA) - Japan Transocean Air ((IATA) Code: NU, based at Okinawa Naha) (SWL) is Japan's last remaining operator of the 737-400 with a dozen still in operational service. However, (SNU) does plan to begin their replacement with a new fleet of 737-800s starting in January 2016.
April 2015: (GE) Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) (GEF) delivered a new leased Boeing 737-800 to Solaseed Air (SNU).
Solaseed Air (SNU) operates a fleet of 12 Boeing 737-800 airplanes to destinations in Japan.
