May 2009: ACCDT: An-26 (5005, 9Q-CSA), was destroyed May 26th whenjh it crashed on approach to Isiro-Mtari airport, killing three of the four occupants. At the time of the accident, the airplane was operating a cargo flight from Goma, carrying 7 tons of cartons of cigarettes on behalf of the SuperMatch Company. According to reports, the three Russian flight crew (FC) members received fatal injuries but the Congolese loadmaster survived the crash with severe injuries.
