DENNIS MUILENBURG, CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO), CHICAGO (2016-03).
Dennis, 52 in 2016, oversees the strategic direction of the Chicago-based, $96.1 billion aerospace company. With approximately 160,000 employees across the USA and in >65 countries, Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and top USA exporter. It is the leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes, military airplanes, and defense, space and security systems; it supports airlines plus USA and allied government customers in >150 nations.

Dennis was an Engineering intern at Boeing (TBC) in 1985; he held numerous Program Management and Engineering positions of increasing responsibility early in his career, including on (TBC)'s High Speed Civil Transport, F-22, Airborne Laser & Condor reconnaissance airplane; he led the Boeing Combat Systems division; he was President of the unit's Global Services & Support business; (CEO) of Boeing Defense & Security since 2009; Boeing President, Vice Chairman & Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2013.

He is a member of the board of directors of Caterpillar Inc, the USA - China Business Council, the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation and For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology (FIRST). He also is Vice Chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) board of governors and serves on the (AIA) executive committee, and is an executive committee member of Business Roundtable, an association of (CEO)s of leading USA companies. He also serves on the boards of trustees for the National World War II Museum and Washington University (St Louis).

He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA), and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

A native of Iowa, Dennis holds a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and a master's degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the University of Washington.
