November 2004: Celso Ciprani, President is being investigated for allegedly transferring millions of dollars from the airline to foreign bank accounts. Ciprani, whose wife Marise is the daughter of Transbrasil founder Omar Fontana, denies the charges. German Efromovich, OceanAir President, has proposed purchasing the assets of (TBL), which has been grounded since 12/01, and restaring the airline as an all-cargo operator, but General Electric (GEC) and other creditors have requested (TBL) be liquidated.
