Chad (the Republic of Tchad) was established in 1960, it covers an area of 1,284,999 sq km, its population is 6.5 million, its capital city is N'Djamena, and its official languages are French and Arabic.
April 1999: The government owns 98% of (TCH) and Air France (AFA) 2%.

March 2005: DC-9-32 (47102), ex-Executive Aerospace, ex-(ZS-MRJ) leased.
June 2006: The USA and Chad signed an "open skies" agreement that will allow air services between the two countries without restriction.
July 2007: 737-232 (23083, OD-WOL), Wings of Lebanon (WOL) wet-leased.
December 2007: Toumai Air Tchad (TCH) has added a former Republic of Cameroon (CMR) F28-4000 Fellowship (11204, TT-EAS - see photo).
November 2008: Toumai Air Tchad (TCH) as the national flag carrier airline of Chad, operates a small domestic network (N'Djamena to Abeche) and provides charter jet airplane services to neighboring states. Links the capital N'Djamena to other capital cities in West Africa, including Bangui, Brazzaville, Cotonou, Douala, and Lome.
