Tobruk Air Transport & Cargo (TOB) operates charter flights with An-24, 707-321C, DC-10-30F, & Il 76 airplanes wet-leased from other companies when required.
July 2002: 1 707-321C (655-19372, 9G-JET), photographed at Istanbul, ex-Johnson's Air (JON). This 707 was originally delivered in 1967 to Pan Am (PAA). In 1976, it was acquired by Israeli Aircraft Industries (IAI), and in 1977 was sold to Korean (KAL) who operated it for 10 years. It was acquired by Summit Aviation (SUV) in 1994, who leased it to Heavylift (HVL) with registration (9G-SGF).
November 2005: Air Tobruk (TOB) launched a second weekly cargo service between Tripoli and London via Amsterdam aboard a wet leased Das Air (DAR)/(DAC) DC-10-30F. (TOB) plans to acquire its own wide body freighter for the route from summer 2006.
