Formed and started operations in 2008. Domestic, regional & international, short term and long term charter and wet-lease (ACMI), passenger & cargo, jet airplane services.
SE-41746 Goteborg, Sweden
February 2008: Tor Air (TOR) was founded by a team made up of senior airline management staff with the goal of becoming Scandinavia's leading wet-lease/charter operator in not so long future years. The first airplane will be configured to seat 162Y passengers. A 2nd airplane should be added for next summer and there are plans to increase the fleet further from 2010.
November 2008: 737-4Q8 (26302, SE-RJA), ex-Air One (ADH)/CentralWings (CWG), (ILF) leased.
January 2009: Has recently been operating on behalf of Norwegian.se (NWG) and (TAP) Portugal.
February 2009: Their website says there are no job positions available for the moment.
September 2010: Norwegian (NWG) has currently wet-leased the single 737-4Q8 (26302, SE-RJA) of Tor Air (TOR).
December 2011: Tor Air (TOR) has suspended all operations on December 22. It had operated a single 737-4Q8 and wet-leased an A320-200 from BH Air - Balkan Holidays Air (BGH) for scheduled services to the Middle East and charter services from the UK to the Mediterranean. It was just about to lease its first own ex-Koral Blue Airlines (KBL) A320-200 but obviously these plans have now fallen through as well. Its distribution partners, virtual carriers Aer Olympic (Stockholm Arlanda) and SkyMiddleEast (Larnaca) also seem to have stopped selling tickets from the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK to Iran and Iraq.
