FEBRUARY 2002: OPERATING 2 OF ITS 3 747'S ON HADJ FLIGHTS FOR DOLPHIN AIR (FDN) BETWEEN BANGLADESH AND JEDDAH.
June 2002: 1 A320-214 (1130, SE-RCD), (GEF) leased and wet-leased to Goodjet (GJT). 1 A320-211 (288, SE-RCC "GLYSA"), (GAX) leased.
July 2002: The Swedish CAA forces TransJet (TSX) to ground its airplanes and threatens to revoke its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC), stating "We have a lack of confidence in the management of the company. We've given TransJet (TSX) terms on things which need to be corrected, and parts of management that need to be changed, to restore the quality system to the way it is intended to be. The company needs to re-engineer itself."
Its UK tour operator has switched to MD Airlines (MDR).
November 2002: Had its (AOC) revoked. Ceases operations.
December 2002: Bankruptcy judge orders TransJet (TSX) to be liquidated.
Thomas Johannson, CEO, and his son have formed Transjet International.
January 2003: Transjet International has ceased trading. The company had proposed to operate 2 747-200's, ex-Kuwait Airways (KUW) on Hadj flights.
