January 2003: The Ukrainian Ministry of Transport plans to liquidate state-owned Air Ukraine (UKN). The Ukrainian authorities plan to establish a new national airline through a merger between Ukraine International Airlines (UKR) and Aerosvit (UKA), with a fleet of 737's and 767's.

July 2003: 737-33A (23630, JY-JAB), Jordan Aviation (JOR) wet-leased.

May 2004: Air Traffic Control Ukraine has become the 33rd member of Eurocontrol. It has been a member of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) since 1999, and has participated in Eurocontrol's billing and central flow management system since 1998.
