July 2012: U Airlines ((IATA) Code :YL, based at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) is the name chosen by Crystal Thai Airlines for its second launch attempt with two ex-Indian Airlines (IND) A320-200s. It is reportedly also planning to add a single 767-300ER in September.
August 2012: U Airlines (ULG) has announced its initial scheduled charter network indicating its plans to launch A320-200 operations on August 13. It will initially sell all of its seats through tour operators but has ambitions to start its own scheduled services as well. (ULG) plans to initially serve Busan, Chongqing, and Nanjing from Phuket and Chennai, Nanjing, Ningbo, and Yancheng from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.
November 2012: U Airlines (ULG) has announced plans to launch domestic scheduled flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai and Phuket from December 2012, when its second A320-200 gets delivered. It currently operates a single A320-200 on scheduled charter flights from Bangkok to Seoul Incheon and Yancheng. U Airlines (ULG) also plans to add international routes from Bangkok to Chennai and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta as well as additional scheduled charter flights to China and South Korea.
December 2013: U Airlines (ULG) is a start-up airline operating charter flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to destinations in China, India, South Korea, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Initial equipment is two former Indian Airlines (IND) A320s. to be followed by a Boeing 767-300ER.
