July 2002: 1 727-231F (21988, C-GCJD), ex-Miami Air (MIB) (Quest Cargo).
August 2002: Acquired by Cargojet Canada (CJT). (WNT) will provide wet-lease charter cargo services to (CJT).
APRIL 2001: 32 EMPLOYEES (INCLUDING 18 (FLIGHT CREW (FC)).
MAIN BASE: WINNIPEG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YWG).
HUBS: SHENZHEN HUANG TIAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SZX); VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YVR); CALGARY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YYC); NANJING INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (NKG); EDMONTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YEG); & HAMILTON (JOHN C MUNRO INTERNATIONAL) AIRPORT (YHM).
April 2002: 32 employees (including 18 Flight Crew (FC)).
November 2002: Changes its name from "Winnport Logistics" to "Cargojet Airways." Provides (ACMI) wet-lease services for Cargojet Canada (CJT).
December 2002: Nav Canada is investing $C26 million to enhance air traffic safety by installing new Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE) - a radar-based system that allows air traffic controllers to monitor and direct airplanes and vehicle movements on airport surfaces - over next 3 years at 8 airports across Canada: St John's, Halifax, Quebec City, Montreal Dorval, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver. (ASDE) is already in operations at Toronto's Pearson Airport.
